“Do Everything, Feel Nothing” – that was me. Then, through my own therapy journey, I realised that I wasn’t writing my own life story… I was living off a script that I had not created for myself! Now, I have a much deeper understanding of what is important to me in my life. I can say ‘no’ when I need to. I can appreciate the present moment. That’s not to say I’ve got it all figured out, but I certainly know and respect myself better.
Before I started my full-time counselling practice, I worked in supporting the homeless and I worked with victim/survivors of abuse. This includes domestic violence and sexual abuse. I spent 2024 counselling men in prisons. This had a profound effect on me and I learnt invaluable lessons there that will last forever.

These days, I am focussed on my lively private practice, into which I pour all my experience, learning and passion. I love working from home. I enjoy welcoming clients into the therapy space that I have lovingly created.
And when I am not working? I’m probably either reading, or cleaning up after two teenagers and a very fluffy little dog called Ozzy.
I recommend that you go to my Psychology Today page for more info about me, my approach, and a video of me talking.

Good to know
I practice under Supervision. This is required for all psychotherapists. Attending supervision forms part of a therapist’s ethical practice and ensures that you are receiving the most appropriate care.
I am a qualified Level 7 psychotherapeutic counsellor. My main study programme was called Advanced Training Programme in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy, at the Berne Institute. This course is validated and quality assured by the UKCP and the University of Middlesex for the award of the degree of Master of Science in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy. The Berne Institute is recognised globally as a centre of excellence and leading provider in psychotherapy training.
I also hold a BA Honours degree in Sociology from the University of Leeds, specializing in gender studies.
In addition to the essential requirements of this profession, I am an avid self-educator and I engage in many diverse areas of psychotherapy and psychology that fascinate me. I will often take myself off somewhere to be immersed in learning and give myself space to grow and reflect. Here are some examples of that:
Taking Therapy Outside at the Centre of Natural Reflection, Derbyshire
The Fundamental Concepts of Analytical Psychology at the C.G. Jung Club, London
Unconscious Relational Patterns, Cumulative Neglect, and Therapeutic Involvement with Dr. Richard Erskine, London
Eating, Shape and Weight in Relational Psychotherapy (specialised group Supervision)
